WACS Playbook

|

Hey there sports fans! Our first edition of WACS Playbook is now on the air! After much struggle with technology it is finally up. The first edition was of course the Alden vs Fredonia playoff game. Those that aren't caught up with what Playbook is, it is WACS' own version of a sportscast or what you may view as Sports Center. The episodes will air much longer than the first episode and we do plan on covering winter sports starting with basketball. So, what do you think about the concept of WACS Playbook? Make sure to check out Playbook on Time Warner Channel 19 after WACS News which airs weekdays at 1p,3p,5p,7p,9p and weekends 11a,1p,3p,5p,7p,9p. It is also on the web at the WACS Homepage. Please feel free to leave feedback on the episode after you watch!

I recommend that the WACS News team watch actual news broadcasts, paying close attention to their choice of language, substance, body language and placement of graphics.

the wacs news was pretty good. the sports section was interesting with the sports clips of the football game. i think they should put a top ten plays in for it.

I thinks that WACS News should interview the players and coaches before and after the game to get there feedback.

Good job with the 1st few episodes, and the coverage of the football game was great. An idea for things to cover as the year goes on are basketball games. Set up a table between he bleachers and interview players and coaches before the game begins. You could also create a top ten play countdown like they do on sports center, with plays from all winter sports. Keep plays within each season like only having winter sports top plays, then spring

you should do top ten play wit all sports and interviews wit fans and players

I think that WACS News should interview more players after the games and maybe even the coaches too.

I think that this episode of WACS news was okay. After the announcers get use to it they will do a lot better. I Believe that this will get Alden more involved in sports. I think the news cast should go to the wrestling matches, because there are a lot of state qualifier kids from alden

I like the idea and I think it will allow the community to grow a bit around the sports teams, but I also think it needs much more fervor in the speech and casting. I understand that what I saw is a rough draft but I still think that a dedicated sounding voice would be much more effective.

I think it's pretty sweet how AHS has there own news station. I also think that the news reporters need to watch actual news stations just so there not as shakey...you could kind of tell that they were shaking their foot under the table or something. But for it being the first time and since their only just kids, they did a great job!
